General: The Women’s Transportation Club (WTC) is organizing a night at the Houston Astros Ballpark to kick off NTW Week. Unfortunately our beloved ‘Stros are out of town during the week of NTW, but we are scheduling the event for May 6th in order to kick off the festivities for the following week.

Please let us know if you are interested or if some of the other clubs would like to reserve a block of tickets.

Cost and Ordering Deadline

The tickets will be approximately $15.00 each for View Deck I, and will be available at Will Call on game night. All payments will have to be made to WTC by April 30th, as we will have to prepay the tickets 30 days in advance of the game.

Download a flyer and a ticket order form and join us for an evening of fun!

If you have questions, please contact Brooke Shubin or Diane DaCosta. We can also both be reached at 281-443-9333. Thanks for your input. We are really excited about organizing this event for NTW!

General:

With assistance from the Houston Air Cargo Association, the 1940 Air Terminal Museum is hosting an NTW Reception on Sunday, May 17.

A speaker from the Houston Airport System will speak throughout the day at this come-and-go function. More details are forthcoming.

This museum is an astounding part of the transporation scene in our city as a beautiful example of art deco building restoration (be sure to see the pictures online at www.1940airterminal.org) combined with artifacts and airplanes. TCH has held functions here including an evening mixer last year for NTW.

Want to take part in this event?

Contact Museum Director Megan Lickliter at info@1940airterminal.org or call 713-454-1940 for information about how to participate in this special day.

A BIG THANK YOU...

... to the 1940 Air Terminal Museum, to Megan in particular for stepping forward (as a non-transportation-club) with the initiative to put on an NTW event, and to the Houston Air Cargo Asociation.

Signage and handouts are needed from the transportation industry to distribute to attendees that day (a good fit for college students - "past, present, history of transportation", "transportation in Houston over the years", etc.) College students can write it up and clubs or companies can pay for the copies to be made.
